Ugly's Book

The Ugly's Reference book is a must have for all electricians.I have 3.One is in my tool bag,one for my breifcase and one for my desk. For more information: UGLY's Electrical References, 2008 Edition

T5-1000

The Fluke T5-1000 can be used for testing voltage, amperage and resistance. The only downside of this unit is that you can only checl amperage on wire sizes to 1/0.A great + to this unit is that it has a hold feature that allows you to do your test, hit the hold button to see your readings if you have a hard to reach and read area. For more information: Fluke T5-1000

LVD1 The Fluke LVD1 is handy for a quick test to check if voltage is present. It will not give you information needed when troubleshooting. It has a led light on it which comes in handy in dark areas. For more information: Fluke Volt light LVD1
GFCI Tester The GFCI tester shown is a great tool to check polarity, correct wiring to the device and a test button for GFCIs.It has a lable on it to explain what is wrong or if everything is correct. It will not give you a voltage reading. For mor information: GFCI-Outlet Tester
Stick Tester This Greenlee vlotage tester does the same job as the Fluke LVD1.Use caution when using both of these testers.A volt meter should be used to determine actual voltage. For more information: Non-Contact Adjustable Voltage Detector By Greenlee Textron
Circuit Alert Wire Strippers

There are several types of wire strippers on the market. These strippers happen to have a voltage alert tester built into them which is detachable.Pretty cool tool,2 in 1.

For more information: Gb Circuit Alert Wire Stripper (GST-224)
